The Industrial & Commercial Transportation (ICT) business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Supervisor 3based out of Tullahoma, Tenn. This position will report to the Quality Assurance Managerof the ICT Business Unit

Position Overview
This position is located at the Tyco Electronics facility in Tullahoma, Tenn. The Quality Assurance Manager has overall responsibility for the Quality Management System within the facility and for all Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities, including the supervision of those personnel. The Quality Assurance Manager plans, directs, and performs activities of a complex nature to assure that the dimensional, material and visual characteristics of the product's design, as documented on drawings, specifications and quality standards, are consistently produced, and that products of acceptable quality are sent to the customer. Is a key representative of the quality system and provides an interface between the customer and Tyco Electronics for a wide variety of quality assurance issues. Identifies opportunities to continuously improve products, service, processes, and the quality system.
Key
Responsibilities:
Coordinates and/or assists with customer or certification audits of the Quality Management System (QMS) to the requirements of ISO-9001:2000 and TS16949 Quality Systems criteria and certification. Develops and implements written documents in support of the quality system requirements. Develops procedures and systems to elevate current QMS. Manage In-Process audits of manufacturing operations and support processes. Manage in product audits performed as a result of customer complaints, requests, and source inspections. Manage, coordinates, or participates in root cause analysis and corrective action determination to provide resolution to customer complaints, quality system audit improvement notes, non-conforming material disposition, and process variation. Directs the review of customer specifications to determine compatibility with Tyco Electronics production drawings and manufacturing processes. Reviews customer supplied documentation to assure compliance to customer quality specifications, certification, tests and other contractual requirements. Coordinates the resolution of any special quality, test or certification requirements in cooperation with Product and Manufacturing Engineering, assuring overall agreement between Tyco Electronics and customer drawings and specifications. Specifies and/or provides information for the proper selection, use, and calibration requirements of gages, measuring devices and testing equipment used to determine acceptability of productive material. Defines control points and inspection methodologies and intervals within the manufacturing and assembly processes and implements them through the use of detailed Quality Inspection Plans or Test Requirements. Coordinates the disposition of non-conforming material and notification of rejection and requirements for corrective action to the supplier/function responsible for the non-conforming condition. Reviews monthly data for receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection results, quality audits, customer audits, disposition summaries, and requalification test data, and reports findings to Quality and Operations Management. Determines quality capabilities and continuous improvement studies of machines and processes by participating in Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA's) studies. Reviews written reports summarizing the results of conducted studies making recommendations relative to changes in processing, engineering requirements and product assurance techniques. Reviews statistical control charts for the purpose of monitoring product and process quality characteristics.

Position Requirements
Requires a B.S. Degree in an engineering discipline, plus eight years experience in Quality Engineering and Quality Management. Background should include the coordination of activities and delegation of work of Quality Engineering and Quality Control personnel as well as the responsibility for skill development through training and like responsibilities. Must possess previous experience with ISO-9001:2000 and TS16949 Quality Systems criteria and certification. Background in Wire and Cable manufacturing, or electrical, electronics, or plastics manufacturing is a plus. Prior experience in Six Sigma and SAP also a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
